And to be clear, I don't think the Miata actually is the pinnacle of ICE, I just thought that's what everyone else would answer. The correct answer is in the back of a 997 911 GT3RSR, the last and greatest 4.0 Mezger.

Also, the largest correct wheel size is 22.5.

Pretty much this. I only went 20s on the C10 because these days there's fuckall for good rubber in a 29" tall tire for anything smaller than a 20" rim.

The Dodge Viper ACR is just pinnacle stupidity on wheels. Naturally aspirated V10 that weighs nothing with bigass wings and winglets and everything is awesome.

I feel safe in saying this: I have never once driven or even ridden in a Miata. The only person I know that had a Miata had it in his garage in pieces because the turbo he put on it spun the rod bearings. For those reasons I have never seen the hype.

I went with the 911 over something like a Viper or Hellcat because, even if you're saying "what is the best ICE car", it's still the whole car, not the engine. For example, ICE cars also allow for manual transmissions, and that's going to be as much of my criteria as the engine. And the suspension. And the aesthetic.

I actually barely know anything about the 911 but I vaguely understand it's a legendary "driver's car".

I thought the same thing but focused more on the engine because of the internal combustion part. I basically asked myself "What car would I be most butthurt about an LS V8 or EV swap?" Miata, Corvette, and 911 nameplates are going to live on into the EV era.

There really are too many good choices to decide easily, so I went with my bias toward Mazda for a silly answer.

I do find the answer of Porsche 918 neat, cause it's an ultra performance plug in hybrid, bridging us to the next generation.

Shouldn't "Automatic Emergency Braking" be sheep'd in with " Active Safety Features"?

Also, is the Volvo 240 actually bad? Was it bad 15 years ago or is it now just far too old?

Lots of wolfs on worst car suggested, lotta bad cars out there.

The last time I recommended a 240 was ~15 years ago and at that point they were already approaching "too old" for anyone to deal with who isn't specifically into RWD Volvos.
