naw in your profile options there's a box for a sig, you can plug in the image code there and it'll pop up in forums where they are enabled, (almost none of them)

having a new sig thread for each season makes the process of finding a posters initial request for a sig much easier. this season i had to go back to page 2 or whatever to find some initial request posts. it's one thing to comb thru 8 or so pages, but eventually the thread would be hundreds. also along the same line, making the list of requests and what is completed would be trickier as well.

megathreads do rule tho so who knows

okay I think you guys are right, then what about this: we gonna have the cake and eat it, too, by having remade seasonal threads and additionally some eternal megathread where we all just post our sigs and show them off and just talk about new and old sigs while also featuring all the sig galleries we are still going to make each season in the op so that way we have a big collection, a permanent place to show off our sigs AND, most importantly in byob, a new thread

i love it!

sig season has helped me learn skills i didn't have. editing/creating animated gifs was something picked up specifically to make better sigs, and i'm trying to fumble my way thru blender tutorials for much the same reason.

having a central sig thread where people can ask "hey how do i make this snowman rainbow coloured" or whatever would be nice and good
