Now I don't have a total hours watched (fortunately) but I've watched 462 shows this year probably enough time to watch another 10-14 before the year ends. Or 2,853 individual matches. So I'm predicting I pick & choose & watch way less full shows with dull undercards that only have 1 match I want to see. 1 - LOL nope. Watched 360 shows so far & it's just July. I have been more discerning with what undercard stuff I watch and am way happier skipping poo poo though, so that part was right at least. 2 - shockingly no, Shingo isn't even top 10 right now. 20th at current count, albeit G1 is coming. 3 - Hell yeah I'm right! New Japan, NOAH have been consistently AAARGH & while All Japan have flirted with greatness they then go & do poo poo like today's main event and gently caress me. 4 - Almost! Ver.3 was on NJPW World PPV of all things, but the next G Prowrestling is not on their schedule 5 - Yes, at long last. 6 - Well, yes, Masquerade no longer exists, sucks. So about 50%.

- Tetsuya Naito wins the 2022 G1 which is back in the summer - 100% gonna happen - Kazuchika Okada has another year long title reign starting on January 4th - half right in that he had a half year title run starting on January 4th - Fred Rosser is in the G1 which causes a lot of jokes and people complaining that it couldn't be whichever AEW or J-indie guy they had their heart set on. He's really good and shuts up his doubters except for the people who don't watch - holding down the fort on Strong but I guess people are starting to get on the Mr. No Days Off train - Katsuhiko Nakajima defeats Go Shiozaki in the Budokan, but Go eventually ends his reign - Fujita got in the middle there - Keiji Mutoh wrestles in the USA, including in AEW as The Great Muta - - Stardom announce a Dome show. Establish themselves as the number 2 promotion - No Dome show yet, but they're second by attendance - Mayu Iwatani announces her retirement - not yet thankfully - Thekla wins the SWA title in Stardom. Syuri vacates it after beating Utami. - yes - Mizuki defeats Miyu to win the title. The Magical Sugar Rabbits collide at Sumo Hall and Mizuki drops the title to Itoh at WP3 - no - There is no point of the year when the Marvelous roster are all fit and healthy - as of right now, they're all fit and healthy! - The Prominence crew make at least one appearance in FREEDOMS - not yet - FREEDOMS Yokohama Budokan outdraws some of the major Japanese promotion's efforts - BJW ended up doing this instead - Onita has another retirement match in 2022 - not yet - Jon Moxley is the first two-time AEW Champion - does interim count? - Neither CM Punk nor Bryan Danielson become AEW Champion in 2022 - CM Punk - AEW and NJPW do a big joint show in the USA as part of the NJPW 50th Anniversary. nZo and Big Cass do not appear. - 100% correct and no nZo and Big Cass - There are no Dynamites with more than one women's match at any point in 2022. - I think there was one with two women's matches and one was a squash? - Someone attempts a third national promotion built around Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, EC3, Killer Kross and nZo. It is a flop. - no Wyatt or nZo but Control Your Narrative is certainly a flop

One of the WWE shows will not survive the year - There's still time. At least one of the New Day will leave or be released from the WWE - There's still time. A current or recent NXT champion (including NXT UK) will randomly have a match on a main roster show, and be beaten clean in less than 2 minutes. - - There's still time. A current (as at December, 2021) non-world title champion on a WWE-branded show will appear on a show for (and possibly sign with) at least one of: Impact, NJPW or AEW. - There's still time, but probably won't happen. WWE will have a TV taping where the entirety of the crowd can be seen in the main hardcam shot. - I'm sure it already has. A non-wrestler celebrity will hold one of the two top titles in the WWE - Hey, one of the Paul boys signed recently, right? NJPW reinstates the IC title - Probably won't happen. Okada wins the World Title. - Yep. At some stage, either the physical IWGP Heavyweight Title or a belt designed to resemble it will be used as the IWGP World Championship - Just get rid of that loving thing. Goto will get a title shot - Note: I never specified which title, or that it was a singles belt. Goto will not become champion - Does Bishamon losing to the Bucks on the B&G Dynamite count? Authors of Pain, with a different name, will sign with NJPW and appear on their shows - lol no Eddie Kingston wins a title - Maybe? Dude really deserves a belt. Danhausen will sign with AEW - Yep. reDragon will win the AEW tag titles - There's still time Adam Cole will become AEW World Champion - There's still time Either Rampage or Dynamite will beat either Raw or Smackdown in the ratings outright - There's still time. Didn't they recently beat Raw in one of the hours or come really close? AEW will introduce Women's Tag belts - There's still time Steen and Rami Sebei will debut in AEW - lol no A reformed Mount Rushmore of Wrestling, not necessarily with that name, will hold at least 2 AEW titles during 2021 - lol no Jade Cargill will suffer her first defeat on an AEW pay-per-view, or special show - There's still time AEW will have had a show in Canada, and/or Mexico - There's still time Jay Lethal is quietly released from AEW, and resurfaces in the rebooted ROH - lol no Jonathan Gresham and Brody King will sign with AEW - Yep Bryan Danielson will have a stable which includes Josh Alexander - First half was correct, second half was wrong. Team Taz will turn face and take on The Pinnacle. AoP will debut and join the stable. - lol no A New Japan wrestler will return to Japan with an AEW title - Came so close. Someone from New Japan will challenge for the AEW World title - Yep. Interim counts, right? Hook will wrestle 1 singles match in all of 2022. He loses within 10 seconds, including the time it takes to count the pin. - lol no Michael Cole gets released by the WWE, Michael Coulthard debuts as a commentator on AEW to much acclaim. - There's still time edogawa rando fucked around with this message at 00:09 on Jul 15, 2022 |

ChocoPro Related Predictions for 2022 Emi makes it to one singles match on AEW television - Lol no this is not going to happen ever Her multimans make it more than once to TV but only to the buy in of a PPV - See above Emi does not return to Japan for any extended amount of time but does return - Yes Japanese Covid restrictions do lift but only in the second half of the year and Gatoh Move returns but primarily for a Japanese speaking audience - Yes Gatoh Move shows are exclusively in-ring - Yes TJPW/ChocoPro connection becomes increasingly close facilitated by their AEW partnerships. Saki Sama's next protege is pure TJPW though. - Yes, Suzume has appeared in ChocoPro/Gatoh Move and Mei Suruga appears in TJPW under her own name (Yuki Arai is being mentored by Saki Akai though) Neither Akki nor Choun Shiryu win an MVP - Very wrong about this one Lulu does not have a major programme with anyone but instead a series of small feuds, also she goes to America and has one novelty in ring match on Dark but Eddie does not commentate. - Lulu At least one wrestler works an American indie billed as being from ChocoPro - If Akki gets an indie booking in the next two months, then this looks likely, but the smart money is on very few bookings Mei returns to America and wrestles in-ring multiple times - Not yet Mei reaches 365 belt days - Yes Chie goes to America but only after getting the ChocoPro tag championship which happens in February or March (Mei and Akki beat her pretty soundly in January) - They did beat her, but CDK won the belts fez_machine fucked around with this message at 00:16 on Jul 15, 2022 |

The alternatives are have CM Punk immediately relinquish it or have no world champion for x number of months so sounds like interim should count good enough (Actually the alternative is WWE where the champion has gone months without defending too)

AEW will secure a 4th hour of weekly television - There's still time, but I'm not optimistic AEW will not debut a Trios Title - Running down the clock on this one AEW will have it's first retirement match stipulation enforced Still time, but not optimistic - I was working on the assumption that Jericho would wind it down NJPW and AEW will jointly promote a crossover show in a similar vein to the NJPW x NOAH show One guaranteed point This show will be held at MSG - gently caress, turns out Chicago is AEW's New York Cody turns heel - Half point? Someone who appeared on AEW TV in the last couple of years will sign a WWE contract Nailed it - didn't think it would be Cody though Walter is called up the main roster Yep, shame about the name change A man in drag will appear in the Women's Royal Rumble match (possibly Santina) Thank gently caress they cleared this bar AEW announces a stadium show in the UK that sells out within a week Nope, all indications are AEW will not come over until 2023 Hangman holds the World Title until the Summer - I'm counting this - Double or Nothing was basically the start of summer There will a repeat winner of at least one of AEW's world Championships (Men's, Women's, Tag Team) Yep, The Bucks and arguably Mox regained gold Bryan Danielson will have more than 1 *****+ match this year Halfway there The CM Punk & Bryan Danielson tag team is formed. They will have at least 1 match each with FTR and the Young Bucks Nope. Danielson did form a tag team with a main eventer though Eddie Kingston wins an AEW title There's still time damnit A Blood and Guts match will be held that doesn't have a botched ending Yep CJ Perry finally appears on AEW television There's still time WWE will release more than 40 on air talent through the year Don't think they've reached this number yet At least one WWE hall of famer will make a debut appearance on AEW Nothing on that front so far A 2022 Money in the Bank winner will end the year without successfully cashing in their briefcase So I'm praying for Theory to fail? Sure

-PAC wins a singles title (Yes) -Jay White appears in AEW (Yes) -CM Punk fully turns heel (No ...yet) -Barring another lockdown, AEW resumes working relationships with other Japan promotions (Yes) -Bryan Danielson wrestles a stint in New Japan (No, and I can't even pretend Forbidden Door counts because he missed that too) -Brian Cage goes to Impact where they immediately give him a title push (No, but I was kinda on the right track) -Josh Alexander has at least a guest stint in AEW, if not actually signed (No) -ROH attempts their planned return, but it fizzles out and announces a merger with another indie like MLW (Yes? It just ended up being a much bigger promotion than MLW) -MLW's Azteca Underground spinoff doesn't end up happening (Yes. I think this should count. Azteca was announced & marketed as a full TV spinoff series. Not only was there no TV spinoff, but it wasn't even the TV miniseries that was promised. Instead they put a barely-related The Crash collaboration on some Fusion episodes) -WWE fires 50+ more employees (Maybe? I haven't kept track of WWE or its releases, though there's still plenty of time) -Either Rampage gets a 2nd hour or Elevation becomes a more viable B-show for signed talent (Maybe? Elevation has definitely gotten bigger matches instead of just being Dark 2: More Dark, but "viable" is sort of nebulous) -At least one person from the classes of 2019-2021 becomes Open the Dream Gate champion (No, and doubtful by year's end. DG seems to be focusing more on 2016/2018 classes this year) -R.E.D will kick out Eita and rename themselves under HYO's leadership (Yes. I guess HYO isn't explicitly the leader of Z-Brats - technically it's KAI - but they don't promote him that way, and we'll see if he's even still there after Kobe World in a couple weeks) -Eita will join the Doi/Yoshida team with some of the rookies to form a new unit (Not even close. I definitely didn't predict a Perros del Mal invasion for Eita, and Yoshida got kicked out of Gold Class before it even formed)

- Dark or Elevation will become a syndicated show probably not - WWE cuts will continue to no surprise, with Sheamus and Alexa Bliss being notable cuts main roster cuts seem to have shown down - Bron Breaker will win a title in his main roster debut nah - AEW’s roster will change quite a bit. Jericho, Dustin, and Matt Hardy will all be semi-retired. Several contracts won’t be renewed, some much to the disappointment of PSP. Additions will include Steen, KOR, Strickland and Gargano ill go partial. Dustin rarely wrestles and Matt should likely consider retirement. PSP weren’t too upset at the people not being renewed, and Swerve and KOR signed. - legends making AEW appearances will include terry Funk, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels. nah - WWE2k22 will feature at least one DLC character who will no longer be part of the roster at the games release date kind of. Nash Carter wasn’t included but he was advertised as DLC at one point.
