Prediction #1 - I will watch less wrestling in 2022 than I watched in 2021. Now I don't have a total hours watched (fortunately) but I've watched 462 shows this year probably enough time to watch another 10-14 before the year ends. Or 2,853 individual matches. So I'm predicting I pick & choose & watch way less full shows with dull undercards that only have 1 match I want to see.
Prediction #2 - According to the only metric that matters (my opinion), Shingo Takagi will be Wrestler of the Year again.
Prediction #3 - NOSAWA, Gedo/Togo & TAJIRI will continue to battle it out for most infuriating booker of a promotion I watch.
Prediction #4 - GLEAT stops being shown on Youtube & goes on something like IWTV or Fite.
Prediction #5 - Crowds in Japan will be allowed to vocally cheer & boo again before the end of 2022. That's my wildly optimistic prediction.
Prediction #6 - Kota Minoura leaves Masquerade. Yes, I'm very bold.

1 - LOL nope. Watched 360 shows so far & it's just July. I have been more discerning with what undercard stuff I watch and am way happier skipping poo poo though, so that part was right at least.
2 - shockingly no, Shingo isn't even top 10 right now. 20th at current count, albeit G1 is coming.
3 - Hell yeah I'm right! New Japan, NOAH have been consistently AAARGH & while All Japan have flirted with greatness they then go & do poo poo like today's main event and gently caress me.
4 - Almost! Ver.3 was on NJPW World PPV of all things, but the next G Prowrestling is not on their schedule
5 - Yes, at long last.
6 - Well, yes, Masquerade no longer exists, sucks.

So about 50%.

Neither Akki nor Choun Shiryu win an MVP - Very wrong about this one
Lulu does not have a major programme with anyone but instead a series of small feuds, also she goes to America and has one novelty in ring match on Dark but Eddie does not commentate. - Lulu :(

One time a guy stole some downhill skis out of my jeep and I was so mad I punched a mailbox. I'm against crime, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
- Dark or Elevation will become a syndicated show probably not

- WWE cuts will continue to no surprise, with Sheamus and Alexa Bliss being notable cuts main roster cuts seem to have shown down

- Bron Breaker will win a title in his main roster debut nah

- AEW’s roster will change quite a bit. Jericho, Dustin, and Matt Hardy will all be semi-retired. Several contracts won’t be renewed, some much to the disappointment of PSP. Additions will include Steen, KOR, Strickland and Gargano ill go partial. Dustin rarely wrestles and Matt should likely consider retirement. PSP weren’t too upset at the people not being renewed, and Swerve and KOR signed.

- legends making AEW appearances will include terry Funk, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels. nah

- WWE2k22 will feature at least one DLC character who will no longer be part of the roster at the games release date kind of. Nash Carter wasn’t included but he was advertised as DLC at one point.

Breakker won the NXT title back from Dolph on a random episode of RAW, and I'm pretty sure it was his first appearance on the show, sooooo....

Please, this is all I have

  • Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will either not renew their contracts or be fired close to the ends of them.: Taking the big L on this one
  • There will be at least one major WWE name released that blindsides everyone: Naomi and Sasha Banks being fired while functionally still champions was pretty huge
  • AEW will enter significantly more partnerships with other wrestling promotions, and there will be at least one "Invading Rivals" feud: Not only did it lead to Forbidden Door it also allowed the following to happen
  • One of the following three NJPW wrestle in AEW: Okada, Tanahashi, or Shingo: All three on the same night!
  • ROH will attempt to start up again, but most of its roster have left the company leading to them to either start from scratch or close doors for good: I don't think many considered Tony Khan just outright buying it to be in the cards
  • GCW will have their biggest show ever in 2022 and look to be the third biggest US company behind WWE and AEW: Well after their "Biggest show ever" they kind of killed almost all interest in their company lol
  • As travel starts to become easier again, several wrestlers will appear on AEW TV including Miyu Yamashita and Mizuki making their first AEW appearances: Yamashita has a title match on American soil, and Mizuki will be touring the US later this year!
  • Kaiori Hojo will return to Stardom in a limited capacity before deciding to semi-retire after a short run: I don't know if she's ready to retire but she certainly made her comeback
  • Io Shirai will return to Stardom: There's still hope
Just some of the interesting ones because my list was so long

Unfortunately, I only have that he's an immortal Lich on there. Which might still turn out to be true but y'know.

likewise. WWE will only change when Vince dies, and Vince will never die.
