Freddy Got Fingered is not as random as it appears, there are very clear set ups and payoffs. He wears the deer carcass because he misinterpreted a comment from the animation studio guy saying he needed to get into the heads of the animals he drew. Similarly, the sausage scene is him misinterpreting a comment his girlfriend made. He kidnapped his dad because of some offhand comment his dad made earlier in the movie. Etc.

This is true, especially when you compare it to most of Tom's other work. When I was in high school, we had the "random game". Basically, the idea was to just string together the most random words possible. It's actually pretty difficult and I'm pretty sure it's a thing improv comedians probably do as an exercise.

The other night my roommate (who pretty much grew up without cable and was probably almost out of high school by the time invader zim aired) was telling me a story where she concludes with, "It was me the whoooole time lol" and I say the first thing that pops in to my head which was, "It's me! I was the turkey all along!" and she just looks at me with " what the hell?" This thread inspired me to watch Invader Zim for the first time. I'd probably have loved it back when it first aired but I guess I'm just too old now. Suprised it took me this long to get around to it, one of the youtubers I watch has it as a mascot. I tried recommending him before but nobody seems interested. I thought that those old animutation music videos were a relic of the past but this makes me realize I've seen a lot of them in recent years, the quality has just become so good they're no longer recognizable all this thumbnails look like I just put in a VHS from 1994 and hes going to tell me about fire safety in the workplace

A question re: lol Monkey Cheese random. Would Gorilla Yoghurt be as random or moreso? Is it the combination of Primate and Dairy product that makes the necessary randomness? Also given that all monkeys are mammals, and as such lactate, surely a cheese made from the milk of one species of monkey or other has been made, marketed and consumed at some point in time somewhere on this great wide planet. I wonder what it tasted like.
