Stuff like Forspoken, the FF7 remake and Harvestella should have pretty broad appeal, I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with some more crossover titles in 2023. But SE sometimes make extremely weird decisions, so maybe I'm just trying to impose rational decision making on something which really isn't.

There can be a ton of organizational inertia once a project or department has spun up, especially if a director's job or prestige depends on its continued existence.

…setting up a machine learning algorithm to do the job would take significantly more work than just importing the item manually? And would require hiring talent that can easily contract for 4 figures an hour.

To be fair, postal services are hurting bad because costs are skyrocketing.
