Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse Loved what it changed from 4. weaker story but not as aids as people would have you believe. The Steven dlc is amazeballs but I wish you got a reward. Dagda should be in smt5. The final dungeon is one of the worst designs I've ever seen

sekiro, after a 30 minute battle with isshin lol. playin like a little bitch and exclusively damaging via lightning reversals in phase 3 while sweating ftw as soon as i beat it i refought isshin again another two times. godly fight. i was mad at this when it came out because im bad at parrying. second time around i decided to get better and loved it

smt 5 hard - demifiend + shiva, law ending grinded my rear end off and went in with a whole roster of demons with enduring soul lol if they made more dlc i would gladly play this again for a chance to use the ng+ demons

persona 1 a better version of "Shin Megami Tensei if..." but thats not saying much. did not understand the story. gingerbread house was cool. combat is smt for retards, if you have a single heal-all spell you will never die, although thats a lot like smt. i think there are maybe 4 bosses total. the battle and boss themes are awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb4PX3rPg6o

persona 2 - innocent sin (psp - hard difficulty) it's very easy and the encounter rate is a bit high, but its one of the greatest game stories ive ever experienced.

persona 2 - eternal punishment innocent sin was better but this was pretty good too. i like the persona 1 call backs. if this game had a good combat system and didnt require negotiating 50 times for a single persona it would be amazing.

My first time beating it even though this was the first Soulsborne game I played, years ago, because the Victorian Gothic setting interested me more than the medieval fantasy of Dark Souls. I also did 99% of The Old Hunters DLC but didn't end up beating its last boss, I wasn't trying to skip it but after it killed me a bunch of times I decided to try a few runs at the base game's last boss just to check it out and do something else for a little while and ended up being much more successful at it than I expected. Incredible game, the fast pace of the combat and the need to be aggressive was really exciting and the setting and lore is great--I loved both the gothic horror and the cosmic horror and was impressed at how well the transition between the two was handled. I don't know how I'd compare it to Elden Ring, the only other Soulsborne I've beaten, the tight level design vs the open world is a whole different experience, I feel like Bloodborne was more consistently good than ER even if it didn't match some of ER's highest highs, if that makes sense. it makes sense, and i agree. bloodborne is a more curated experience, they're able to balance things a bit better and provide a constant challenge
