im going to definitely get that Mini Crown Crystalbeard in MHGU this year. that and i went through my steam library this week and marked everything with 0 hours played, i want to at least boot them all up and check them out, even the most bargain bin looking indie trash that i accidentally bought from a humble bundle in 2015.

In Training posted:max paynes are short and enjoyable, going through the remedy backlog will be a good time. I’m looking forward to it. I’ve played 1 and 3 but years apart, and never 2, so even if two of the three are technically replays it will be my first time going through it as a series

1 and 2 are incredible and have a perfect setting. I couldn't get into 3 due to the change but I'm curious if I'd feel different about it now

Control is a really fun set up and has a lot going for it but your character is made of spiderweb and it has so many enemies it back spawns in with explosive rapid attacks that come close to one shorting you. A game that would have actually benefitted from recharging HP instead of enemies dropping it. Cos after being blindsided to near death from across the room you now have to sprint at the biggest concentration of enemies where there’s some hp after picking a few off usually

I’ve been wanting to replay Max Payne 1 and 2 but it seems like a pain in the rear end to get them running correctly on a modern PC unless there’s been new developments since the last time I tried

I remember having to download a tool that opened a dos command prompt while it patched audio poo poo. Check the fwiggin pcgw for all your fixing needs. As for me, like synthy said, i gotta play games people have gifted me over the years. I finally did oxenfree after i was gifted it 3 years ago or so, so im game for it. Like IT, I also wanna make a doom wad again, its been so long but my attempt during last year reminded me just how hard it is to conjure something out of the blue. Another goal is to emulate some weirdo stuff. Wanna see what the wonderswan or the 3do have going on. Get some lynx action going.

i just literally ran max payne 2 using the configuration that comes with the steam version of the game and it recognized my video card and proper resolution. thanks

I definitely remember having to do something to the Steam version of MP1 to fix the audio but it’s been too long for me to remember if it was that specific thing. This time I’m hoping the Xbox backwards-compatibility emulation works better, I’ve never had issues worse than frame rate drops with Xbox bc before

turns out I have a degenerative eyeball condition in both my eyes and I'll be unable to do work or school until at least april, getting surgeries and stuff which is great because that leaves a lot of time for games, but sucks because I might have trouble looking at them but if I can game, this year I'd like to pivot away from completionism, take a lighter touch and just enjoy the many flavors of game in my backlog. I made a list, but it's huge so I put it on pastebin. link probably won't get through it all but I'm going to put a dent in that heap, oh yes. having a list will help bonus objectives: - someone somewhere said that a fun thing to do might be for a group of people who've never played Fez to all agree to play Fez and not read any walkthroughs or anything and just talk to each other about it, and that sounds cool and I've never played Fez, but I'm not sure if I want to put the effort into organizing such a thing - I've been trying to find a game where you have to play as a gay dude but also isn't porn, a visual novel, an rpg, or an adventure game, but I'm not sure the technology exists yet. for example, if mario were to rescue a prince (just hypothetically, don't worry). not sure if computers can do that. no evidence - move on to the next mission in a hitman game without beating the current mission in every single way it can possibly be beat - find a reason to dust off psvr once my eyeballs are working right. superhot? tetris effect?

I only played a bit of dark souls once like 10 years ago, borrowed a friends copy and acted like a stupid bitch pretending i didn't like it to piss him off. i'm gonna try playing through all of em and sekiro. Also want to learn or go back to different speed games, new vegas was insanely fun and kings quest 6 looks neat. maybe go back to mario 64. I've been getting gamer aids recently where i sit around and have no idea what to do, so i end up playing rocket league or halo or watch dragon ball lol. all epic things but i have a billion other games i should be playing so this year i will plant my rear end down and force it, maybe steal an idea from other imps and make a thread documenting my gaming.

My strain of this aids makes me just lay down and not even game at all. It took buying a Wii U and tryharding my rear end off at NES Remix to break the funk last time so I have to find something with similar energy.
