Such a good game, nice to have a shiny new thread.

The Arkham Cards app I think warrants a mention in the OP, I haven't used it a huge amount but it does a ridiculous number of things. You can use it for a chaos bag, take notes for your campaign log, it provides the scenario instructions (with narration if you subscribe to the Mythos Busters patreon), it does deck building and syncs with ArkhamDB I think...

I'd also suggest mentioning the Drawn to the Flame and Mythos Busters podcasts in the resources section.

I've added this stuff. What are the podcasts like? I've known about them for ages but never actually listened to them, but I have watched a couple of their Youtubes around spoiler time.

Thank! Oh, Arkham Cards is on Android too - I should've done the homework and given you a link, sorry. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arkhamcards

I've listened to a lot of Drawn to the Flame, it's two British guys talking about a specific topic each episode, e.g. going through the cards from a new pack, discussing a specific investigator or campaign, or digging into a gameplay question in depth. Recommend trying episodes that seem interesting if you want some quiet thoughtful chat about Arkham. I'm less familiar with the Mythos Busters podcast, someone else would have a better take on that.

My problem with the side scenario's is that they narratively just don't fit into the campaigns at all.

Yeah, there's really no narrative window for them in most of the recent campaigns. We've taken to lazily calling them flashbacks most of the time - "say, this reminds me of how we first met - remember when we saved the world from cultists?"

People use them to show which locations are connected, so you don't have to memorise the map or constantly check the connection icons.

Those are the stand-alone scenario rules, yeah.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend Arkham to a group with zero interest in upgrading decks between scenarios. You'd lose so much of the game, including the tension between whether to take risks and potentially earn more VP for upgrades or play it safe and get out.

We've got the first preview for a Scarlet Keys investigator thanks to the designers appearing on the Mythos Busters show:

As someone who loves Charisma and playing too many assets, they've got my number.

Someone on discord pointed out that his arch-nemesis would be the Stubborn Detective.

Edit: Didn't realise it was a timing question, whoops.

Dividing the damage between characters / turns makes no difference to Let God Sort Them Out, the Ghoul Priest triggering the end of the scenario does though.

Most investigators can take cards from multiple classes, so you're working with a baseline of 2 classes typically. A card like Gang Up is decent-ish already at 2 classes.

There are also a ton of multi-class cards in EotE which help - especially if you're planning to build around Prophetic or Crafty or whatever, that's 3 classes represented in a single asset, which will really help boost any 'For each different class among cards you control...' cards.

Neutral investigators like Lola can also have a lot of fun with them.

And yeah, having an investigator with 5 Intellect is *the big important thing* for this campaign. Between high shroud locations, Malfunction, a couple other treacheries that test Intellect and Pump Room I understand why Ashcan was having so much trouble. Like I thought we weren't doing this poo poo anymore after we learned our lesson in OG Dunwich?

We played through Innsmouth on a blind run with Sister Mary, Father Mateo and Dexter Drake and did really well, so intellect isn't a total deal-breaker. I think you're 100% right about it being a snowball campaign though; you can earn so much XP if you do well early on that you just completely outpace the difficulty curve.

The OG version would be Sneak Attack from Lord of the Rings. Nice to see it complete the co-op LCG set.

Kymani's deck building rules got leaked a while ago but I thought they had Tools 0-3, so now I'm wondering if the leaked Vincent Lee is completely accurate as well.

Maxine said in the discord a couple weeks ago that some of the unofficial leaks were incorrect - they may have been from play-testers breaking NDA who didn't know the cards had changed since.

Tony decks quite often lean into switchblades or other melee options though, he doesn't have anything to make him a gun specialist.

In Circle Undone I actually really disliked the Secret Name, which people seem to like a lot and I thought Wages of Sin was.... fine, not a ringing endorsement but I expected it to be utter poo poo from the way people talk about it.

I've always had an alright time with Wages of Sin too, but that was playing with three or four - I get the impression that it doesn't scale at all and might be miserable solo.
