Shingo has been fantastic over the last year but Okada suffered during COVID. His slow return to form as his worshipers returned to fill seats culminated here with him seemingly back at close to full power and all the old magic of New Japan's great main events of the past seemed to be back too. Incredible match, it defied time just like Okada and Shingo defy the constraints of mortal man and moments like The Dragonmaker Pose made the crowd defy noise restrictions and gasp and bellow and cheer at what they were seeing. This was insanely great, holy gently caress.

 MOTYC: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Will Ospreay - Wrestle Kingdom 16 - 1/5

Awesome match with some insane spots and incredibly rad counter sequences. Ospreay and Okada doing their things. Okada constantly blows my mind with how effortlessly he can wrestle in two MOTYCs in two days.

Picked right back up from their hour-long draw and kept up the same quality, with wonderful callbacks to that first match and notable matches of the past (including to one of the judge's own career), both these guys are insanely good. Crazy match, hot crowd, great finish. Hell yeah.

Another nth for funsies. I loved their first match and it set an incredibly high bar for me that this one surpassed. I'm so glad Danielson can have these kinds of matches. ON TV FOR FREE.

The energy and excitement this 10-Man Tag match generated overwhelmed the kinda lovely nature of the abema.tv English PPV stream, the crowd was alive for it and both teams were throwing everything they had into it, and it was so much fun to watch and felt like a genuine big deal.

Nth. Lot of fun. Honestly wish it could've gone longer because everyone was working for this one.

to be clear this isnt like a workrate complaint because its, yknow, the clusterfuck, it just was just super poorly laid out and booked and not in the on purpose way
