i did not like the timeout but i don't think it changed anything Raiders are running Jacobs there no matter what, if he gets the first it's the same as it happened, if he gets stuffed the Raiders either kick with 35 seconds left or 2 seconds left from 4 yards further back

A similar situation happened in 1976. They played the Bengals late in that season, knowing that if they won, it’d knock the Bengals out and allow Pittsburgh to make the playoffs. Madden and his guys went all out and beat Cincinnati 35-20 and Madden said it was one of the games he was most proud of, since he knew it all but guaranteed they’d play Pittsburgh at some point in the playoffs.
