I'm 18 months old walking into Target with my mom. I pulled on her skirt and said "Momma? Titty!"

Has Dan considered Art Bell era Coast to Coast? That might be fun. I never heard an episode myself but I heard interesting things about the show.

I recommended that they look into the Art Bell/David John Oates saga. Oates is an expert on backwards masking in speech, like he would take clips of Bob Dole and Bill Clinton and play them backwards ans they'd actually be saying "I like communism, it's actually really great" or whatever.

Art was really taken with him and had him on a bunch of times. Eventually their relationship soured, and David started playing clips of Art on his own exceptionally badly produced internet radio show doing his backward masking shtick. I mean, it's early internet radio, terrible audio and technical issues from top to bottom. The whole thing ends up devolving to Oates accusing Art of being a pimp and a child molester and pornographer, which results in lawsuits and C&Ds. Art moves on, but Oates would never let the whole thing go.

It's all well documented and I think it could be a fun diversion for Dan if he got too far into the weeds with goddamn Alex Jones, but they never got back to me on it.

I started Knowledge Fight from the beginning about 6 months ago, and I got up to the COVID era before Alex got just that much more infuriating. I switched over to Doughboys for now because all I could thinking about was wringing Alex's fat neck, and that's not a healthy place to be when you're just looking for something to distract you at work.

You should check out the Formulaic Objections series of civil depositions. It features lots of not-Alex and he gets clowned on hard whenever he is on.

I was listening chronologically so I didn't want to skip ahead, but I'm glad I took your suggestion. My takeaways a few episodes in is that Daria might be a sociopath, and the Sandy Hook lawyers are loving savages. Love those guys.

Suggestions on which episode to check out? I'm new to this podcast

The Formulaic Objections episodes are all listed in the OP. They were a soothing balm for me as I'd just gotten to Alex's COVID/George Floyd coverage, and I could really feel my kettle coming to a boil listening to it. Hearing Alex and his loving clowns get fed into a wood chipper by two mean lawyers made me so happy.

I think... After hearing Owen Shroyer's depo, I think I might hate him more than Alex??

I haven't fired up the most recent episode yet. I honestly don't know if I can listen to smug mode Alex and Tucker suck each other off. I never thought I'd hate anyone more than Ted Cruz or deSantis, but 500 episodes of Knowledge Fight haven proven me very wrong. gently caress.

I am halfway through the Alex Jones documentary and all I want to do right now is say a bunch of stuff that would make the FBI or whoever visit with Lowtax again.

So like, I was never what you'd call a patriot, even as a kid, but I still believed in the potential of America for a long time. I remember very specifically when that died on the day of the Sandy Hook massacre. Especially when I saw how we reacted afterwards, and how nothing would ever be changed for the better, how we weren't supposed to ask questions about why it happened, or how we could prevent it from maybe happening again. My daughter (son? I admit I'm confused on the whole past tense thing when it comes to trans kids...) was in kindergarten when it happened, and I remember breaking down in tears and sobbing later that night because all I could see was them cowering and crying in a corner helplessly while they were gunned down by some psycho.

I don't know, I'm probably oversharing. I can't put myself in the mindset of someone who would be okay with exploiting something like that. It's why I get so furious when I encounter one of those people who swear that Alex has a "good batting average" or whatever. I work with one of those guys right now, and he's actually an okay guy, which is what makes it that much more frustrating.

I don't even know what I'm trying to say right now, but I'd like to say I want people to watch The Truth vs. Alex Jones, but it wouldn't make any difference anyway because it's just a thing now where facts are subjective so what's even the point.

4 stars out of 5, would recommend.

Alex Jones brings out the worst in us.

It was even said one of the parents in the doc, but he's got this sort of charisma about him and you can't help but watch him even if you kinda hate him.

This is going to sound bizarre, but I was describing him to my dad once. I remember hearing about how Idi Amin came to power, and he was a buffoon and a clown and everyone laughed at him until he tightened the noose when it was too late to realize how awful he really was.

Now, I hate Alex and everyone like him to my marrow, and I'd never say what he's done is remotely close to what Amin did, but that's what he reminded me of. We're all laughing at the fat, silly man yelling about gay frogs, but the whole time the people who listen to him hour by hour every day are absorbing the less silly poo poo, like his bigotry and xenophobia. If I have any real complaint about the documentary, it didn't shine a light on just how monstrously hateful he really is, but then again they had their story to tell, and only so much time to tell it.

This is maybe a weird addendum, but if a person claims a gender, you refer to them as their preference in all timelines -- back when they couldn't present as who they were, and in the future when they hope to be themselves. It's ok to discuss transition and the struggle to claim identity, but if trying to make reference to a person, you don't need to bother with "society saw them as an X at that time, and they were presenting as such, and it was only until Y that's they became their real selves". Just assume they were their real selves the whole time and X was everyone else's illusion.

Thank you. I asked my son about that some time back, but he's still figuring out who he is and couldn't really articulate an answer he found satisfactory about the situation. I do my best to consider every perspective on stuff like this.

And yeah, I'm all right and alright. Been a stressful day with a lot of ignorant motherfuckers and tonight was probably not the best night to watch this :)

I was taking my lunch break outside today, and some lady pulls up and sits at the picnic table with me. She lights a cigarette while im eating my cold suffed cabbage, which I think kind of sucks, but whatever. She then starts watching Army Wives or Grey's Anatomy or some drat thing on her phone, full volume. I turned off my Bluetooth and played Knowledge Fight at full volume, and she could only take 30 seconds of Angry Jordan before she turned off her phone, butted her smoke out on the picnic table, and drove off again.

There are no heroes in this story (except maybe Jordan?). I just wanted to share that.

After almost 600 back episodes of Knowledge Fight, I finally had to turn an episode off without finishing it. Fuuuuuuck Nick Fuentes. That guy is the loving worst person alive. Congrats to Alex for losing the crown, I guess.

Like, I knew that guy sucked, but the episode was a spotlight on a talk he gave, and it made me want to puke after about 20 minutes. Dan even gave a warning, and I didn't listen. Jesus.

Episode #578: A Little Sidetrack

I never understood when people said that loving goblin had charisma, but drat if he isn't loose and comfortable in front of a crowd. I started getting shkeeved when he was addressing all the POCs in the crowd and goofing around with them, and then it just kept getting exponentially grosser every time he opened his mouth.

I remember during the height of the Q poo poo when I worked with a young guy of Middle Eastern heritage who had a rap similar to his, and it made my skin crawl. I hated his beliefs, and I felt pity for him because the people he was echoing to fit in almost certainly thought he was a loving joke.
