pros: your head coach will know quite a bit about UGA

cons: your quarterback has improved so much under this new offense. he's focused. he's having fun. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a dark horse for the Heisman.

I lived through the Ray Goff years. I've been so broken by this team, I don't think I said a word, much less yelled at the TV until the 4th quarter. I'm within a few weeks of 1 year sober to boot. Sport is so silly in the downright scheme of things, but sometimes it helps. Good times.

There have been so many stupid and fun moments in UF-LSU's synth-rivalry that I will be sad to see it gone if OU-Texas ruin it for us.

My dad is a lifetime Dawg born in Milledgeville and he is directly responsible for my love of college football and the Atlanta Braves. He is having himself quite a year.

He's never been a mega fanatic but Florida-Georgia growing up was an event in our house and as a 5 year old we started betting on the game because we lived on the border and I liked alligators and the colors and Emmitt Smith was amazing.

He was 25 last time UGA won a title he's 65 now. He still has commemorative glass coke bottles from 1980 on the mantle at home.

I've got a lot of big emotions for my dad right now.

It's a requirement of every household in Georgia to have one of those bottles. I think you get one when you purchase a home.

Unless I'm missing one, Saban's double-digit losses at Bama are

- The two Sugar Bowls they didn't care about (Utah, Oklahoma)
- Tebow in the '08 SECCG
- Clemson beatdown in the natty
- Last night
- Stephen Garcia

And only one of those, like you said, was truly OVER over.
