I have been paging through Krishna Reddy's retrospective today and looking stuff up, and was surprised to learn that his start as an artist was basically making posters for the Quit India movement. I knew him for the last 6 years of his life and am still friends with his wife, and while I never vibed with his finished work, his craft and process were amazing. He is credited with creating "viscosity printing" which lets you ink up plates with different colors that repel each other and lets you print multicolor images on one plate.

Process rules and I think is the most overlooked part of art by the casual observer so I feel lucky to have known him.
