Ratios and Tendency posted:Is Powerful Dog actually good has anyone in the world actually seen it? It’s easily my favourite of the best picture noms but I consider this year pretty weak. I have yet to see Dune, Drive My Car and West Side Story though.

Finally managed to round out the Best Picture noms. My ranking would be: 1. Power of the Dog 2. Drive My Car 3. Don’t Look Up 4. King Richard 5. West Side Story 6. Dune 7. Belfast 8. CODA 9. Licorice Pizza 10. Nightmare Alley Maybe it’s because half of this list is bordering on 3 hours long but this was the most boring slate in a long time.

I didn't watch the ceremony so I'm catching up but this Oscars feels like a non-event without the slap. Pretty sure there were no upsets whatsoever besides Army of the Dead winning something  It's wild that Will Smith was still in the building to make an acceptance speech after slapping a man on live international TV. If you told me 24 hours ago Amy Schumer wasn't the comedian attracting discourse I wouldn't believe you.
