Damning with faint praise though it may be, I'm glad to see they came up with a death game that makes sense for the genre of work (ie a game where the best way to get ahead is to pair up with someone, in a game with dating sim elements). Also that thing Beatrix is wearing is a uniform?

This is all speculation, but 'there are seven routes, or slightly fewer with similar end results' is more believable to me from a game standpoint than 'you make a decision that doesn't actually matter in a visual novel'.

My theorizing: Ai's deletion brought on a containment breach between dimensions that allowed murdery Kimiko to pass through and do some murdering. also but less related: Yoshiki has fast gone from 'tee hee quirky' to 'if the writers thought this character was charming, it speaks badly of them and their writing ability'.

I don't mind Shizuka that much because she shows hints of character growth and thinking beyond her one gimmick and also because she is not as dumb as a sack of hammers. She's impulsive and thinks of everything in terms of video games, which is obnoxious, but that's a step up from Yoshiki who is so dumb it strains credulity. Will be very happy to spend some time with other people. Can't wait to see how Vlad is actually a manic pixie dream man too.
