I was really unsure, as I posted previously, whether the series could cash the checks it's been writing for a while now. but this chapter was everything I could have wanted. and we're all so incredibly hyped for Shigemoto's transformation that nobody has even mentioned yet the horrific homunculus humanoid kaii with magical patterns for heads

if magic is capable of destroying property it can harm humans. but then they weaponized kaii rather than endlessly versatile and destructive magic for no particular in-setting reason. mostly, i think it'd clash with the magical girl aesthetic.

also that's how you get magical girl spec-ops asuka. no one should ever want that.
