I have to buy a new car. In some ways, this is the worst time, but as someone who hates haggling, it's nice that I apparently just have to go put $500 down and then pay what it says on the sticker for my Subaru Outback whenever it eventually arrives. Sure I'm getting hosed, but at least I don't have to go through the whole process of talking to the sales manager, etc.

I think it depends a lot on what you expect out of your service people. I expect them to bring me my food and am rarely disappointed. If you want them to grovel and treat you like a king you may be disappointed more often.
