Man, I went back at 41 to get my Associates in a field I actually give a gently caress about. It's never too late to better yourself. It's not weird at all, at least it wasn't for a community college tech school. There's folks just as old there. The instructors love you because you're there for a reason, and they know you won't cause any trouble. Absolutely 100%, do it.
