community college is cheap as poo poo and the certificate programs often have employers hiring directly out of them. For a trade-related certificate it's not just about the paper, those programs get the students up to a level of proficiency that stands on its own. 1000% worth it. The one caveat is that a half-finished program is almost worthless, so you shouldn't take it without finishing it.
