Really great show. Bought the PPV but this was good enough to make me look at Honor Club. What really struck me was that even though there were a bunch of AEW contracted guys on the card it didn't feel like an AEW show. Everything from match layout to cultural touchstones were pure ROH.

And they gave Yuta and Suzuki titles. Love it entirely.

Also props to Willow. She still needs some training and experience, but she's pretty solid already and had a great promo before the match. Lots of fun, sign her up, Tony!

Technique can be fixed, especially if she takes some classes with Dustin. She already has a lot of the intangibles that are tougher to teach. She connects with crowds beautifully. When I was watching the show my non-wrestling-fan wife saw her and said "Who is THAT? Her hair is GORGEOUS!"

yeah, they've done enough keeping-warm to show that things could be back in action whenever. FTR are defending the ROH tag titles tonight Mercedes has the women's title on TV, Yutes is defending the Pure title on Monday, and Joe is probably defending the TV title against Tall Man soonish.

the point is that in 2022 in a Tony Khan owned company defending the title in the opening match isn't any kind of slight.

I'm not trying to be a "truth in the middle" dipshit but my read on the whole thing is that this is what happens when you get a too-busy boss who is always attracted to the latest thing conflicting with a talent with a strong sense of his own worth who routinely (accurately or otherwise) feels undervalued. Hope Gresham is able to find what he's looking for somewhere else.

AEW provides a consistent live audience that is surprisingly resilient in terms of shifts in time and night. They're coming to the end of a deal signed when they were a barely tested new kid. WBD have made a lot of money from them.

Hold a tag tournament at Supercard of Honor. Invite everybody. Noah guys, New Japan Guys, WWE guys, old ROH guys. Anyone who shared a ring with him or his brother. Make it a celebration of him.

From the looks of who is booked, I think they're going to be a bit freer with the idea of being a supershow or super-indie: have titles and stories around the titles, but also allow guys to come up and come in a lot more readily.

It doesn't, but that doesn't mean one dude should be booking 2 promotions simultaneously. As far as I'm aware that's close to if not actually unprecedented

Definitely unprecedented at the "national promotion on TV" level. There have been promoters who have run multiple indies simultaneously (Mike Quackenbush and the multiple "wrestling is..." promotions, for example) but they didn't have the weekly grind.
