Ryan was a dude from out of town with an insanely busted power (basically instant AOE incapacitation for anyone caught in it) who left Sternbild at the end of the movie because he realised he was a bit of a third wheel. Didn't seem like the sort of character who was written with long-term sustainability in mind.

I have to assume there will be some sort of situation that tempts Tiger to use the drug since his diminished ability to use his power has been a thing for so long.

Glad to see this show getting some more episodes, it's been good.

Maybe he'll even get a legit, safe supply of the drug - Mattia seems like the kind of guy who'd be only too happy to make lemonade out of lemons by using his creation to help NEXT with fading powers.
