birds go into jet engines all the time. it is only a problem if the bird strike exceeds tolerances based on the engine size and the total mass of birds that go in. you can't really avoid it entirely. likewise, small rocks also regularly get sucked in while taxiing. i don't think a golf ball would be much of a problem, but that's a normal golf ball and not a rage-fueled golf super power like in birdie wing.
