While the Studio Deen animes aren't flawless adaptions, they're a perfectly fine entry point to the franchise. I think people forget that even though they had to cut so much from the VN, they were still 50ish episodes long in an era where most anime was moving to the modern model of only getting 12 to 13 episodes total. A more complete adaption would have to be even longer than that and I'm not sure thats a financially feasible idea for 07th.
