Can someone explain the zone entry system the Avs are using on the pp, where they skate up then drop back to the defenseman who skates it ahead for entry? I’m sure it’s to clear the neutral zone, pushing the defending four back, but I haven’t seen it used a ton on other teams. Newer system?
