1 is the "best" if you use normal movie criteria imo and while i don't really like 3 at least it has a kinda satisfying if cynical ending. i used to really like 2 but it has one of those twists that are pretty cool initially but if you rewatch the film with it in mind it all just kinda falls apart dramatically, the horrifying scene most people remember for it just doesn't hit nearly as hard when you know what's going on.

the others while i don't like them at all in a traditional sense it's super fun just to see how hosed they end up making the timeline with an ever increasing pile of retcons. its like trying to figure out what's going on in primer but instead of people talking in dimly lit rooms people get ripped apart while nu metal plays

oh yeah, when i say 'best', it's in the context of the series itself

watching them back to back helped keep most of the timeline fuckery relatively easy to follow, and the twists that i-vi end on are always pretty satisfying

vii ended so poorly for me that i didn't have the heart to continue onto jigsaw and spiral however, what a garbage film (except for the garage scene)

will probably watch x when it comes out though

Dune.

Which version, you ask?

The answer, is yes.

people sleep on the sci-fi original series

was the budget stupid low? yes

was it a well-acted and faithful adaption of the book? for the most part

i like it

i watched saw x

it's the best saw movie insofar that it's an actual movie and not just a loose-fitting narrative to justify torture porn
