i like azure gleam specifically because the context that it provides to edelgard's actions in every other route. it reframes her away from being both incompetent and evil, and more like she actually does have to carefully maneuver around the bad people she's allied with, rather than the audience being told that she has to do that while doing whatever she wants with no consequences like in crimson flower the ending sucks but the ending of all of the routes in three hopes are bad so it doesn't really stand out to me
