Trump has loser stink now and if there's one thing you can guarantee about Americans is that we hate losers. All of the voter fraud wailing and whining is a result of a deep, deep fear of accidentally backing a loser and they would rather believe reality is wrong than admit it.

This is correct but it has one flaw: his supporters believe he actually won.

It's kinda nice to see this kind of messaging

I don’t think it will be as effective as they think because Americans worship “job creators” while they by and large have lots of contempt for students.

I have several friends who have lost their jobs because their employers have seen a downturn in business, or are predicting one. Just an anecdote of course, but it's clear that in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter whether the Biden administration says we're in a recession or not, because the reality on the ground is the reality that people experience.

Good question to ask in pretty much any context, IMHO.

Yes and my concern is that this overcorrection has much higher risks than just taking a slower approach. Inflation is not nearly high enough across the board to risk running the whole global economy into a ditch over it. Except if you are wealthy I guess.

Nah, the type of inflation we have is also very bad, because wages have not been increasing sufficiently to keep up with it. Which means everyone's standard of living has been decreasing.

I guarantee 100:1 odds that while trump says he declassified all these documents that he absolutely, without a doubt, doesn’t actually know what’s in a single one of them. His lawyer has been arguing over and over that he, “can’t come to trump’s defense unless he sees the documents first.”

Lawyer, “what’s in the documents that’s so important?”

Trump, “I have no idea. I don’t read documents. But they’re declassified.”

Trump is not a source of reliable information for his own defense. It’s hilarious how bad a position he’s put himself in over these drat things.

I know "Trump doesn't read anything" is a common belief, but in this case, some of the documents had Trump's handwriting on the margins. So not only did he read them, he took notes.
