Everyone loves a fish out of water story. Every time a character is baffled by absolutely normal things, it's the best part of the story it's in. Goku driving cars, Thor eating at a diner, ET eating M&Ms, Harry Potter making GBS threads on the floor, it always loving rules. And the Addams Family is a perfect, infinite fish out of water story.

American media seems to just want to retell the same handful of stories with a different coat of paint, probably because modern marketers are squares who don't consume coke anymore.

To me is sounds like they just take a few scripts that have been optioned and then throw them at a bunch of ghost writers to mash them all together. So you have scripts for an indie comic book movie, a teen rom-com/coming of age story, a murder mystery, and have to make them all fit into a 10mil budget movie that speaks to the 15-26 year old demographic and it needs to be released by next summer.

I follow Rob Zombie on social and he posts a lot of shots of the new Munsters show he is working on. I have no hope for it because I don't think there is a market for it, but it looks like they're having fun at least.
