the procedure no biggie op. You do need a few days to lay around and ice up, however, so that will probably be hard to conceal if you're at home. Your insurance probably covers it. fwiw, reversals are significantly more complicated in terms of the procedure and recovery, and not covered by any insurance.

UnkleBoB posted:Reversal isn't 100% successful. It's microsurgery to reconnect the plumbing. No guarantee and exponentially more expensive than a vasectomy (mine cost $100, reversal can be $10k). When I went for my assessment, they said to not consider it to be practically reversible. From experience, this is correct. Success ranges from 90% to much less depending on your circumstances (especially the age of patient and years since vasectomy) and the surgeon's skill. No insurance coverage possible. Recovery is WAY more intense than a vasectomy and usually requires full anesthesia, plus hours in surgery to get all of the micro stitching done right. It's way more invasive on your scrotum and the stitches take a while (weeks) to heal. It's definitely an option but not a fun one.

there are only so many times in a man's life that he can have someone else shave his balls. Seems like a shame to pass up the freebie

if you have a spontaneous reversal, then accept that you're destined to have some kind of legendary child
