I had one last week. Recovery is easy, just get some compression shorts and no heavy lifting for 10 days. I only felt pain when getting out of a chair, and even that was only for the first four days after the operation.

I didn't ice my balls afterwards or anything. I just used it as an excuse to take it easy for a few days.
