I'm not sure if it's just that the league has had a couple of months to work on itself or if it's that this is a playoff game and so theoretically these are two of the best teams on offer but this game looks way more professional than the early ones I caught. I missed most of the season after the first couple of weeks and the play looks way more polished.

I wonder how far back in time you would have to take one of these teams before they could play competitively with the NFL teams of the time. Having seen a lot of of old clips, I think even the teams of the 60's had the talent and discipline to whip any of the modern USFL teams on a reasonably consistent basis. Before then, it would be more even.

o-linemen weighed like 250 in the 60s and everyone else was smaller too so i think it would be a pretty fair fight even with a talent disparity
