The two-page spread of a dragon autofelating itself was the jumping off point for me. It's so gross that it's plenty of reason to drop the series in and of itself, but I also feel like a series that updates as sporadically as Saga shouldn't waste a tenth of an issue on something so unimportant. If you expect me to keep reading this comic for another ten years, you better make every bit of it count.

I'm surprised to see the Marvel/Fortnite comic doing big numbers. I know a lot of people love Fortnite, but I didn't think that that love would translate to comic sales.

Practically every panel feels like the launching point for some new substory, nothing can breathe before they introduce something new and forget the last thing. And the dialogue is 90% exposition, almost no character conversations, just everyone explaining what's going on. The Incal is a brutally boring read and I think it's mostly worth experiencing for the artwork and the creativity, not for the plot or the character writing. Before the Incal and Final Incal are a lot better in that regard.

Awful news. Pacheco did a lot of work on X-Men that I consider definitional to what I see in mind when I think "X-Men". RIP to a legend.
