If Slaffy does go first, the Devils will have an interesting position. They really need a winger like him or a winger in general. I wonder if they'd think about trading down and getting an asset out of it, or just go with the top 3 down the middle and build around that.

Fitzgerald has been really good as GM, the Devils have zero bad contracts, a good bunch of impact prospects/really young players, and a ton of cap space to go after a very good class of available free agents. Goaltending is voodoo but if Kuemper isn't horribly long-term I would love to see them get him.
