There's an anime about a girl who pretends to be a telepath but is actually a secret government assassin and she doesn't actually have telepathy it came out around the same time as Amogus getting popular and its pretty good but by no means perfect. I really wish it leaned into the "mystery" way harder; where the plot is more about her gathering information and meticulous detail about her targets and the planning around how to take down powerful and dangerous super powered foes without having any powers herself. Basically the fun part at the beginning of Fate/Zero when Kiritsugu fights Kayneth is what I really would have liked to have gotten out of it.

I tried SRW T and I didn't particularly like the SRPG bits but it did make me interested in gun x sword so I'm gonna watch that. Perhaps tonight.

bleach had two stopping points, after soul society (incredible), after aizen (fine) and just kept going. i think it has some really neat character designs and music and some huge plot problems that really make it drag the longer it goes on. i've been plugging away at gundam in sequence and it's incredible how good it is. war in the pocket stands out, almost head and shoulders but having played a lot of like, super robot wars, it's hard not to hold reverence for the original stuff/char's counterattack. the impact of it is so immediately evident if you've been in and around anime for awhile and then watch it.

caveat to my jojo opinion i forgot to post because it always comes up: i have never really engaged with part 4 outside of reading duwang scans as they were coming out over a decade ago. maybe i would rate the part higher than that if i had done so. i like koichi, hes a funny little guy and he does the sasquach pose. you know the one.

Duwang gave us some good in-jokes, but it's been replaced and for the better.

I haven't consumed any more Jojo than around half of part 1's anime, but I was very impressed at the top hat guy giving a 5 minute speech after getting bisected.

Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann(or Chouginga Gurren Lagann depending on preference) is an amazing design, it's literally the moon, and it transforms from a space battleship into the robot. it's so loving cool unfortunately all youtube videos showing it off have been utterly scrubbed from existence, they're distressingly thorough about that poo poo. but it's a cool robot
