This game is full of personality and charm, very impressive for a studio's first release. Puzzles and platforming seem to be pretty good too, not overly complex, but challenging enough to be engaging.

I launched the game and it immediately crashed my PS5. Like, not close-to-dashboard, it cut the power and did the database rebuild. The second launch it killed video out but I got it back by switching inputs and switching back. So, that's something.

I'm a couple hours in. Very cute game, they definitely nailed the personality of being a cat. So far the most implausible aspect is that a cat would actually help people, but I'll just assume he has its own motives and anything useful he does is strictly coincidental.

Finished the game, missed 4 memories. In-game time says 6 hours 11 minutes. The game is cute and pretty, the cat is very lifelike. The gameplay is very simple though and I'm not sure if this game would be worth playing (full price anyway) without the novelty of being a cat. The story is your basic what's left after humanity disappears/eats itself. There were a couple or more contrivances where they had you leave characters behind to keep the basic gameplay formula going. Not bad overall, just basic. Like the gameplay. Good soundtrack and sound design. Pretty good UI and use of lights and movement to guide players. Don't think there's much replayability here. Worth experiencing it on a sale.

Would've liked an outro scene of some robots using the main elevator, and some cats running around. I did enjoy just sitting on the main console and watching the roof fully open. Very chill.

I found a robot wandering round the city who stumbled when I ran in front of him and he tried to step over me. A few more attempts and he hit the dirt face-first. As someone suffering from a heavily bruised rib after my cat tried to kill me on the stairs this is catharsis.

Strays birth is around here https://forums.unrealengine.com/t/koolas-stuff/20505 and that is what catapulted it into the interest of people, because unlike most goons (???) people love great visuals and good game engine tech use. I agree that it has solid features overall and isn't particular outstanding gameplay wise, but the graphics are really the underlying driver for its hype here. There have been games with cats prior to this, like Catlateral Damage and most likely others. The cat is an accelerator for sure, but the visuals are the base.
