In Berlin, Germany in 1972 I guess drowning kittens in sacks was such an issue that they issued a stamp to persuade people not to do so.

Wait, persuade them to drown less cats or more cats? It looks like he's holding the sack open for her and she just scraped a bunch of cats from the ground to go inside it. It looks like the stamp is celebrating cat murder

Are we sure it was just Berlin? Possibly it was just year that the world just really hated cats.

The 70's was a very weird and sad time like that.

Drowning unwanted kittens in a sack has always been pretty common in Europe, at least in the more rural parts. Europeans just hate spaying and neutering their pets for some reason.

I think she adores the cats and he’s like, “NO”

The next stamp in the series is him getting wrecked/thrown into the river in a sack while everyone celebrates

The other stamps in the series include a boy trying to steal bird eggs from a nest, a man whipping a watch dog, and a deer & hedgehog about to become road kill.

"Protect the animals!" Anyway, here's some awful stuff happening to animals.

I think the girl on the cat stamp must be giddy about stuffing the cats into a sack (and the dude's real bummed about having to do it), considering the other stamps don't show any attempts to protect animals. Does anyone know what the +X under the stamp values means?

The + # means that it's a semi-postal or charity stamp. If a stamp has a value of 30+15 then the stamp costs 45, but the 15 when to some sort of charity. I'm guessing in this case it went to some sort of animal welfare organization. Lots of countries have these types of stamps.

To keep on the cursed images track, there are some extremely cursed stamps from Bangladesh that were issued in 2017.
These are NOT MIND SAFE nor NOT WORK SAFE. I will not post photos nor a link. These are just that loving cursed.

It's a group of 71 stamps depicting the horrors from the 1971 War Crimes during the War of Liberation. I cannot imagine anyone there actually using these stamps for postage. They are just that brutal.
