Kidd is going through a lot of huge life changing moments, and their earnestness is what has drawn attention to themselves. They are doing their best and it honestly pisses me off to see a high standing member of the community publicly come for Kidd. But it also touches my heart to see so many more members of the community not only support her but also be protective. Sheik name dropped Nyla Rosa and it really made me wonder what her thoughts were on all this considering I've seen her specifically take Kidd under her wing to the point where they refer to each other as family

The more that comes out about it, the more it sounds like this whole thing was Sally's elaborate delusional fantasy to fly out her wrestler crush, put on a show that featured her, have her sleep over, then become a hero to everyone for the amazing queer wrestling show so VENY would fall in love with her and they'd live happily ever after! Only she didn't care who she had to screw over to make the fantasy a reality, and tbh the 'food coma' thing came off as a potential roofies cover story to me. Anywho this whole setup is a mess and yeah its definitely a young person mistaking internet clout for real life anything, which is a good reminder for us all. Nobody is a perfect person, but Kidd seems to be a good person. I think if you can't get behind Kidd Bandit and kinda root for them, it says more about you (the general you, not the specific you) than about them. I can also see why Kidd's eager to invoke the names of Cody, Nyla and others. First of all, of course they would be. They're a rookie just starting out, and getting help from big name pros. That's rad! It's normal to be jazzed about it! But also... I can't begin to imagine the abuse and poo poo Kidd's getting on social media, so it's natural to go "OK, these pros who know the business and are respected in many ways like me and get me, so maybe don't poo poo on me 24/7". Kidd is trying her damndest and gets harassed from all sides from scumbags. Anyone who has to put up with that, and still manages to be a beacon of hope for the community should be lauded if not the very least not disliked.

Also keep in mind that Kidd is pretty young and try to look at being a wrestler of some note at such a young age. I'm sure we were all annoyingly excited about something at that age, they just happen to be on a highly visible stage. Plus all of this attention is coming in their first year or two of doing this. They're going to be annoying at times but in what seem like harmless ways that they'll eventually mature out of.

I think Shiek is being overly defensive but I can absolutely understand why you would be cautious and suspicious of someone showing up on your scene who is very good at self promotion and making themselves look like a leader. I like Kidd, I think people who dislike her for being goofy or cringe are dumb, but there are real reasons to look at someone like her and be suspicious in wrestling. It's born out of wrestling being a scum gently caress business but it's still valid caution. Do I think Kidd has bad intentions? Probably not. Am I surprised a vet is suspicious? No, not one bit.
