there's no hinge on the canopy like there is on most of them, so the pilot is built in and can never escape. poor space dude, stuck in his ship forever, never able to explore the planets he discovers

Blacktron is smarter than the space explorers, they have a hinge in the canopy so they can leave. also the compartment in the middle is where the robot went i think?

this is by far the coolest loving thing from my dad's old collection. the buggy went in the compartment in the middle, and you could have people manning the guns on the side by sitting and holding the switches. 10/10 great classic set

this one is also cool as gently caress, it's a SPACE HELICOPTER and it has a magnet to pick up the crate!

but also i feel some guilt whenever i see it, because for a while this sat completed on top of the range hood over the stove, but one time i got it down to play with it and i fumbled it and it broke to pieces. no biggie, it's lego, right? except the stove was on, and some of the pieces fell right into/next to the gas burners and got melted out of shape. dad was pretty cheesed about this and i was sad :smith:

the side guns hinge 90 degrees downward and then spin inward 90 degrees and then hinge back up and be tucked into the cockpit zone. so loving cool.

kinda goofy to have the middle of the cockpit opaque though lol

simple, elegant. the black box behind the cockpit was a safe, you could put flat 2x1 bricks in and then open it up and get them back out!

ok i guess the space police don't protect themselves from the harsh vacuum of space either, so it's a little less hosed up now?

this dude's got epaulets! which took the same between-head-and-torso space as an oxygen tank would so lol no air for you, space cop!

ROBO RAPTOR

nearly everything i've posted has been given to me sister + her kids, with no instructions, just a crate of lego to play with. this, however, is still sitting completed on a shelf in my brother's bedroom

the legs shuffle and the claws open and it can uh kinda flap its arms up and down. and there's a safe on the back of each foot!

ok that's all the stuff i found that i recognize! also probably a bunch of these were actually my brother or sister's sets and not mine, but everything ended up in the communal lego collection so it was all roundabout mine in a way, just not mine alone

not included: star wars lego sets, nasa lego sets, non-space lego sets, non-core lego stuff like bionicle

looking closer at the pic i think these guns could just swing inward, if the canopy was up

the folding down and in is definitely how the guns on the space police transport worked though
