It's probably harder for president crimes to get away with crimes when he isn't in charge of the justice department; he almost got got by the Mueller investigation when he could stack the whole deck in his favor. Who knows whether he ends up in prison but there's an obvious difference between this and all of the previous jams Trump got out of. (but he won't be elected president again)
