I really wanted to like this, because old timey ocean liners are cool and introducing mystery and supernatural elements is even cooler but it just feels like too much of a shaggy dog story. The characters never have time to properly react to or investigate any hint of mystery, 'cos 30 seconds later, yet another weird thing pops up. It's like the writers thought that if a plot hook is good, 50 plot hooks must be 50 times as good, and it really isn't.
