Alts are totally unneeded, yet done really well as you said. I remember at launch when dyes were character bound. lol. Now of course youll go broke trying to get the 500 shades of black, but every character can use them. The armoury just made alts so much easier. And even the shared inventory slots are amazing. Its funny to read about new mmos releasing that dont have a fraction of the QoL stuff GW2 has. It wants you to play the game because its a good game (and dress up your dolls)

You will get the core game, which is pretty good. You get what ever living world you log in for. You wont get mounts (PoF expax) You wont get fishing (EoD expax) You wont get gliding (HoT expax) You only have access to core builds, some of which are still totally viable. Give it a go. Its free isnt it? if you like the core game, the expansions add to it, but its still pretty much the core game. Edit- pvp is seperate from wvw and pve. mettabattle and snowcrows websites will have builds.

I just started the season 1 stuff. omg i forgot how much i miss the original lions Arch. Its a cliche by now, but jes, that was a real city. AND it only just dawned on me the Marg's lineage is from Cantha because she is asian >< for some reason that has never clicked until now.. So dont worry about playing things out of order

I just used my last exploration thingy ><. so now ill need to do anotehr 1-3 characters map completion. holy hell is this mechanist broken. Im not even in propper gear (using svaads and not zerker) with a sunless rifle (rabid) and it just melts whatever is in front of it

So i discovered that when you make 250 mith earrings for the purpose of making research notes. you dont have to buy a research kit to salvage them. You just tick the box at the bottom that gives the notes. I sort of expected you would need a research salvage kit in your inventory, but you dont. (i ended up with 3 before i realised i wasnt using them up....)

Skyscale is worth it. But ONLY once you have completed its mastery. So be saving casino coins and have your mastery points ready, otherwise prepare for a little more disappointment.

Hmm, i hear rumors you get the mount at lvl 10 now. so you might have the raptor. Do the xpacs come with an 80 boost? (used to just use that do the first part of PoF in order to open the raptor on all characters) do my difinitive answer is.... no idea, let us know when you do it :O

My favourite mag story is during the 1st? wvw change thingy i was on the desert map and there was a boon ball that was green, that was up against a boon ball that was red, and then there were at most 4 mag nobodys floating around doing the cloud thing. When we were helping the green boon ball was winning. Pulling someone out of the ball, it was fun. So the commander of our green ball tells us (maguuma) to go away, we ruin pvp... so the 4 of us sat on the sidelines and watched as our green ball got steamrolled 4 times before porting away. Then we fought with the other ball for like half an hour as it would kill 1 of us, chase the others, we'd get a res, and it too ported away.. and where you buying this must have piece of clothing >< i dont see it in the gem shop

Stories can usually be done in greens and blues as long as you know the mechanics and can do them. id even say 9/10 times its your build that needs tweeking and not your gear for stories. legendary stuff is SUPER QoL and on par (as in exactly the same stats) as ascendant. just, so much easier for multiple toons. Ask people to ping their underwater helm. and dont laugh when its their lvl 7 one they got 5 years ago and completely forgot about.

Fractals are good for story too. Your missing a bit there. Its nice to be carried. Your first entry into T4's will often be part of a group where you get to where you need to be just in time to loot the dead mob. i CAN NOT do the thaum reactor reactor room bit for the life of me.

Im going to say Fractals are fun. They have a good overarching story (and its kinda neat that EoD is based on fractals) Its a pity they are really good gold and i think mystic coins. Because you can end up in a group more interested in farming than having fun. But def try out fractals
