The Cubelodyte posted:DoE says the application was sent to MOHELA (I did t last month) but as yet MOHELA’s site has no record of me whatsoever. I’m guessing I just gotta trust the wheels are turning. Mohela took over PSLF servicing literally this month, so it’s not too surprising that things are backlogged. My loans were transferred to them, and when I log in, it just tells me that I won’t have valid info until 9/3. I had also screwed up by not consolidating my loans immediately, and the first set of PSLF changes directly affected me. I actually have 120 payments completed, but there’s a 3-year period that hasn’t been reviewed yet. Really hoping that gets done soon.

I’m still waiting for Mohela to fully import my loan info. As of right now it just shows that I’m in good standing with a $0 balance. I get that they’re probably overwhelmed with everything, but I’d really like to see where I’m at with PSLF. I should be done, but the old loan servicer hadn’t finished counting my old payments.

The Slack Lagoon posted:Now only if MOHELA would process paperwork and get PSLF eligible payments updated. I have 40 potentially qualifying payments that haven’t been reviewed for TEPSLF. The wait is killing me, since my current count is only about 10 payments shy of the 120.

There shouldn’t be. Also, the PSLF tool SHOULD auto fill in the EIN number for your agency if you find it in the search menu.

One quick question to keep me from freaking out. I consolidated my loans years ago for PSLF. On studentaid.gov and on mohela.com I show two loans. One is labelled Direct Consolidated Subsidized, and the other is Direct Consolidated Unsubsidized. The Direct Consolidated Subsidized seems to comprise the 3 Subsidized loans I had in law school. The Unsubsidized includes Perkins, Grad Plus, and Direct Unsubsidized loans. Both show the same counts for PSLF forgiveness, but are technically counted separately each month. Am I good, or do I need to rush and fill out a new form today? My understanding is that since they are both direct consolidation loans, I’m fine. My loans appear to have been forgiven. I'm waiting on the official correspondence, because at this point I have a hard time believing anything with my loans has gone right, but both Mohela and StudentAid.gov are showing $0 balances, and the .gov website shows that they are paid in full. I'm cautiously optimistic. I screwed up and neglected to consolidate my loans when I started working for the government in April 2010. I consolidated my loans in January 2014. Thanks to TEPSLF, those 3 1/2 years of payments were finally counted, and thanks to the COVID deferment, I hadn't made a single payment past what my 10-year mark would have been. I'm honestly not sure how I'll handle the feeling of relief once I get the official correspondence.

My payment count updated multiple times before they finally got things right. Nelnet was my servicer for at least part of the time, and seemed to be the last time period updated. I’d call and at least ask for general info first. The whole point of TEPSLF was to fix things for those of us screwed over by a badly designed system.
