 The music direction in this game reminds me of mid-80s/early-90s DOS and Win 3.1 game audio. Just that level of ambient, 'it's here but don't pay too much attention to it' sort of thing. Stuff like this in its various versions (mostly the ProDOS 8 and Commodore 64 versions).
