The super bright colour palette was a thing a lit of early GBA games had since they needed to be visible on the incredibly dark original GBA screen. That generally got better once the GBA SP came out and you could actually see what you were playing without a floodlight pointed at your screen.  Also they really changed Bors sprite, I curious to see if they did that for all Knights since I love the goofy chest shield that this era of FE Knights have.
