Regardless of how differently people feel about the Cabana shoot, I'm kinda glad that he finally just got it all out and got it over with so that everyone online finally shuts up about it and stops speculating I really wish people would stop giving a poo poo about backstage drama and who has heat with who and just talk about the product itself

Finally got a chance to watch the show after diligently avoiding spoilers for a full 24 hours. Mixed tag match - it was a match. I don't like Sammy and Tay so nothing much else to say FTW title match was perfect for what it needed to be. Hooks hardest challenge to date and he's looking great. Could've used Taz on commentary though what the gently caress? All Atlantic title match was cool and fun and I like this new character from Kip Kingston vs Ishii - A person I was watching it with said they hoped it was 20 minutes of them chopping each other and that is basically what we got. So fun and so violent Casino ladder match. I forgot that it was a "Royal Rumble" type match. I thought it was like MITB. The match was fine, but man did that ending suck. Trios Match. HOOOOOLLLLYYYY gently caress what a match. John Silver had me believing not once but twice that he could pin the God of pro wrestling. The story with Hanger and the Elite was great. TBS title. Hard to be invested in those one after the trios Match but drat Athena looked good. Wardlow/FTR vs Lethal/MCMG. A good but nice come down match. Great stuff at the end with Sonjay Hobbs vs Starks. Surprisingly short match. Not much to say about it AEW Tag Title match. I knew this match would be good, I wasn't expecting amazing. True talent to realize what the crowd wanted and just incorporate that into the match. Acclaimed looked amazing. Women's 4 way. I had low expectations going in to this match but match was really fun. Everyone got a time to shine! Cage vs Jungle Boy. Luchasaurus NOOOOOOOO. I guess this feud becomes Jurassic Express collide. Maybe this is what we have to get through to get the rematch at Full Gear. House of Black vs Miro, Sting and Darby. Fine match. Brought down by lack of Sting jumping off of something. AEW title match. I was really disappointed Punk won. I think Moxley has just been having an insane run this year and this is a bummer ending. Great match though holy gently caress. I'm intrigued to see where Punk goes from here. I think we are getting a "Bret in Canada" thing where every city outside of Chicago hates him, but when he goes to Chicago he is the conquering hero. Ending reveal. Not surprising, but exciting.

The scrum was something. Despite my best efforts my friend messaged me "YOU HAVE TO WATCH CM PUNKS MEDIA SCRUM AFTER THE PPV" which clued me in that Punk was probably winning. The scrum was something, I'm not sure how I feel about it. I like Punk a lot, but I feel like this feeds into the narrative that Punk is toxic to have in your company. I'm bummed that a fist fight broke out, a chair was thrown at Matt Jackson, apparently Ace Steel loving bit Kenny Omega. Like what the gently caress? Something has to happen here but I don't see a good way for it to handle.
