What a bummer. Gotta love the "Buy a unique studio with a small but passionate fanbase"->"Make top down changes to everything about their games"->"Games underperform for some reason"->"Close Studio" cycle. And I still maintain that this angle on the game could have worked if the characters didn't begin the game as friends. Nothing about their relationship seemed earned, and so there wasn't room for a real character arc for anyone.
