My Aussie state is doing a one off holiday on the 22nd of September so we can think about the queen and stuff. This is one day before the inexplicable holiday we have for Aussie rules football, so four day weekend. God bless the queen and sportsball. And we still keep the annual queen's birthday holiday as well because that was for Victoria or something. No one knows or cares and every Aussie state does it on a different day.

Every single province has to agree, and at least two are named after royalty.
