Can anyone more knowledgeable talk about the EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters) party of South Africa? Julius Malema, the current leader, has described its ideology as Fanonist-Leninist but most information about them in English is tinged with NED-style hysteria. Hilariously I've heard them described as both anti-white (for their policy of expropriating large landowners who 30 yrs after Apartheid are still mostly white), and anti-black (for going after billionaire mining company owner Patrice Motsepe's corruption).

I know the anarchists are infatuated with the YPG, but hasn't Brace Belden said they're more Stalinist?

The society the YPG are trying to create are based off of heterodox anarchist thinker Murray Bookchin's ideas called democratic confederalism. Which, without splitting hairs, just seems like council socialism to me.

To win the fight for this vision of society the various PKK offshoots are organized along strict Leninist lines (strictly disciplined, militaristic, and hierarchical in the democratic centralism sense).

Was the later what Brace was referring to?
