Alright, well I'll try to set a firm time by end of the week. The dates will stay the same, but the times may be anywhere from 7pm-8pm depending on league preference.

Alright, all the drafts have been set to 7:30pm EST. Dates are the same.

DLML: Wed Oct 5 7:30pm EDT
LSL: Thu Oct 6 7:30pm EDT
HHL: Mon Oct 10 7:30pm EDT

Yahoo has some weird rear end thing where if you miss the Euro games you can't start the league until Week 2, so HHL won't officially start until the 17th which is fine whatever. The other two leagues will start on the 7th.

e: I'll go through and set keepers for the HHL soon then threaten managers who haven't submitted theirs yet

I'll try to get keepers submitted today. I've been delayed doing it because I was pretty dead set on keeping Drake Batherson about 6 months ago and now CERTAIN THINGS have me thinking about how much morals matter in fantasy hockey.

edit: Upon further reflection he can go gently caress himself

Trevor Zegras $11 -> $14
Roman Josi $46 -> $56
Rasmus Dahlin $6 -> $8
Timo Meier $15 -> $18

Hey TBone, just curious for the Denis league - no BN spots? Wasn't sure if it was an oversight or a way to reduce daily roster tinkering etc

8th is a hard slot and I had multiple guys get sniped right before I was going to pick them which is never a good sign. I'm light on faceoffs and I don't like having glassmen like Hischier and Hall. That being said, I think it's solid and should contend for a playoff spot, especially if I can find a solid C or D early on waivers.

I think I'm ok with this. I feel like I kind of botched my first pick, I misinterpreted the stats Yahoo was showing me and assumed goalies were worth about half the scoring stats instead of 1/3 of them. I probably would've taken Makar or Kaprizov instead if I hadn't been a dummy. But I'm not too upset about it either. Having three goalie slots is interesting and I'm hoping Shesterkin + 2 solid platoon goalies should be ok. Other than that I went for PP guys, volume shooters, promising youngsters, and faceoff wins. Kind of punting PIM but if I could pick up a guy who could rack up a bit more than average I went for him.

Not super worried about Murray potentially not being Toronto's starter because I picked up Jarry and Swayman. I think between those three I should get plenty of quality starts.

My idea was given no +\- to go for goalies from good teams and skaters from bad ones. Was picking while at work so missed a bunch of runs on player types and we’ll barely got 2 guys to play centre..

Edit: anyone got a good pun name based on the above.

Denis Lemieux Memorial League

Ending up with the first pick was a bummer, having just 2 minutes to make consecutive picks was often a race against the clock cause y'all were extremely talented at sniping my shortlist in the dozen picks leading up to my turns haha.

I took Drai over Connor for the FOW and positional flexibility. Most stats they were pretty similar, McDavid had the big assist advantage and a bit of a points edge, but I reckoned I could make up for that elsewhere and benefit from having a top-tier FOW/scorer as a winger.

I had hoped to snag one of the top 3~ goalies with pick 28, but they were gone already. I honestly flubbed the Demko pick, was considering Markstrom among others and was checking stats quick when the timer hit :02 and I snap drafted Thatcher. At least I know he's a workhorse...

After that I decided to do the opposite of last years LSL and lock down strong goalies early. So instead of 2021's kitchen-sink approach of Nedeljkovic (Pick#125), Murray(#265), Craig Anderson (#305), and Vejmelka (waivers), I locked down my three before the 2nd wave of goalie picks. Last year I was almost entirely dependent on goalies other folks drafted/acquired and subsequently waived (long live Ville Husso, Mike Smith, & Logan Thompson).

TBD if this draft tactic backfires when Georgiev fails to find some consistency and/or Demko and Kuemper are let down by lackluster defense in front of them.

Good luck all!

P.S. "Tyler's Tyrannic TuesdayQueens of the Ice Age" is my RL brother, but he doesn't have an SA account, so passing on his hellos & thanks for the invite & best of luck to everyone.

I think the problem for Demko and Kuemper is they might be very good goalies, but goalie stats don’t take into account playing in front of high danger generating defences. You don’t get to many soft point shots to pad the stats when your playing behind Myers..

I didn't really think about the three appearance minimum for goalies in a 40 goalie league. I was gonna pick up a more true platoon goalie but they were all gone, so I'm gonna need someone to go take a crowbar to Jonathan Quick. Or maybe Petersen does get >50% of the starts anyway and I get bailed out.

Other than that, it's pretty balanced (+/- will be an issue) and had the freedom to be stupid with Zadina and Kakko.

21. (412) Ben Chiarot (Det - D)
22. (429) Max Comtois (Anh - LW)
23. (452) Dante Fabbro (Nsh - D)

:shrug: I spent the top half of the draft picking guys I missed out on in my other league earlier this week and the rest of it guessing about dudes I've barely heard of. Par for the course in LSL. If I improve on my 13th place finish last year I'll be content.

The DLML and LSL are starting today btw. HHL will draft Monday and then start the following week.

I'll go through and set keepers tonight.

It's toe-tapping-ly tragic!

I enjoyed inheriting team name Zuccin and Fuccin but they will henceforth be known as McAvoyd the Clap

Pretty disappointing draft for me. I think I bungled some spots pretty bad when some picks were stolen right before my pick, mostly around the end of the draft. Goalies are my real weak point. Mostly hoping Vrana and Pinto turn out to be steals.

I'm also accepting trades for Seider :negative:
