I'd call you crazy for keeping McDavid at that price but truthfully the bidding has been getting more and more hilarious with him every year and I'm not so sure that someone wouldn't pay $200 for him if he got to free agency.

A little worried about having Benn and Seguin lol. I like my goaltending though and I think I have a solid team overall. I feel like I got good value in a lot of spots. My d should be able to score. Not super worried about Murray potentially not being Toronto's starter because I picked up Jarry and Swayman. I think between those three I should get plenty of quality starts.

I feel pretty happy with this considering I don't think my keepers are that great. Not sure I'm super thrilled with Thompson at $56 given Binnington later went for the same price but hopefully Vegas doesn't suck.

Was very happy with my prices for Guentzel, Kopitar, and Carlson. Also pretty happy with the prices I paid for Morrissey and Andersson. J.T Miller I didn't get a bargain on but it was market value. I am a little nervous that he might not be able to repeat that year but as long as he only takes a minor step back production-wise and not a huge step back I think it's still good value.

My plan for this draft was to not get into insane bidding wars. I didn't want to pay like $200 for a Matthews or a Draisaitl. They rule and all, but I'm not sure I'd want them for much more than like $130 or so. I dunno, maybe I'm undervaluing them, but it's just soooo much of your cap to pay for those guys. Like you could get two-three good players for that price.

1. (11) Anze Kopitar (LA - C) $48
2. (21) John Carlson (Was - D) $43
3. (22) J.T. Miller (Van - C,LW) $95
4. (28) Jake Guentzel (Pit - LW) $65
5. (64) Connor Hellebuyck (Wpg - G) $79
6. (75) Logan Thompson (VGK - G) $56
7. (111) Josh Morrissey (Wpg - D) $21
8. (112) Rasmus Andersson (Cgy - D) $28
9. (131) Luke Kunin (SJ - LW,RW) $2
10. (180) Jared McCann (Sea - C,LW) $3
11. (192) T.J. Oshie (Was - C,RW) $2
12. (213) Brandon Duhaime (Min - LW,RW) $1

14. (223) J.T. Compher (Col - C,RW) $1

Also I threw the teams into the athletics fantasy model thing (which I used for the first 45 minutes till work got in the way), not sure it did me heaps of help.

I used it as well to check my :gut: decisions so if (when) I suck this year it's not 100% my fault like normal and maybe only 90% my fault

I'm doing pretty well in the LSL (3rd) so far despite currently running a goalie tandem of Martin Jones and Thatcher Demko lol. In fairness I do also have Murray and Grubauer, both of who are currently hurt.

Have to expect the Canucks stop being complete poo poo at some point. Demko is usually a solid goalie.

My goaltending in The Hockiest on the other hand has been very good so far (Thompson/Hellebyuck). That has been enough to put me in 4th there.

Denis Memorial League has been a struggle so far. Doesn't help that I have Jarry there and the Penguins sucked badly all last week.

7th in Hockiest, 3rd in LSL, 10th in The Denis Lemieux Memorial. Dealing with significant injuries on all of them. Least I'm competing I guess. I don't look dire in any league.

If anyone in the Denis Lemieux league is looking for a goalie I'm willing to move Swayman. Looking for d primarily but I'll consider forwards

Man I'm at a real loss about what to do with my goaltending in HHL. Spencer Knight has been good, Bobrovsky is having a disaster season, and John Gibson is Jekyll and Hyde. Last night he has. 1.88 GAA, 39 save, .951. The game before that he allowed 5 on 19 shots for a slick 6.87 GAA/.737 sv%. It's been that way the entire season because the Ducks are awful.

I picked up Schmid but I don't think he's a long term solution/he won't get enough starts.

Maybe someone wants to trade? I have a lot of offensively-oriented players. Two of the top 5 scorers (Robertson, Pastrnak), Cale Makar, Suzuki, etc. I also have Marchand, Bergeron, and McAvoy and while it's nice to have so many players from the top team when the Bruins are rolling, it can be bad when they have a light week or aren't scoring. Too many eggs in one basket. So I'd be open to moving one or two of them as well if the right deal came along.

I lucked out and picked up Hellebuyck and Thompson. I wish I could say that some great foresight on my part but while I thought both of those teams would be at least decent I had no idea either goalie would be this good.

I'd help you out if I had a third goalie to move but I don't. I'm carrying 4 goalies in the Denis Lemieux League but nobody seemed much interested in Swayman when I was peddling him and now I think I'll probably just keep him since Ullmark got hurt.

My HHL team is in first and I eagerly look forward to the bitter disappointment of choking in the playoffs. In the Longstick I'm clinging to 8th though I'm having a strong week and might be about to move up some spots.

I'm tempted to add to my HHL team since my team is quite good and this might be my best shot for a while at a championship since my team is fairly vet.

That's also the problem with making a trade though. Don't have any obvious young pieces to move. Might have to just stay the course and hope my team stays healthy and doesn't choke.

I thought about making deals in the HHL but my team is pretty vet unfortunately. I'm Letang Chung.

Also doing pretty well so not sure I need to. It'd be nice to bolster but I just don't have much in the way of good keepers to trade.

Lost in the Hockiest despite being two seed. The Vegas/Thompson injury just absolutely killed me. I was relying on Winnipeg's goalies otherwise and Winnipeg has been a tire fire for a while now. I think if Logan Thompson had stayed healthy I might have been fine.

My LSL matchup was close but my opponent had a good final day and that sealed the deal for him.

In both matchups I checked and I did have the head to head tiebreaker so if I could have pulled out a tie I would have advanced. It looked like there was a possibility of that for a while as going into Sunday I was tied 6-6 in both matchups but I couldn't pull it off.

I missed the playoffs in HHL because I believed in my team and they didn't deliver. I have a new appreciation for bad GMs around the league now.

Not sure what I'm going to do about keepers. I can't keep Robertson anymore, I could keep Makar again but he'd be like $120+ so I probably won't, and I don't think I'm going to keep Robert Thomas again. I honestly think I might keep Pastrnak, Marchand, and McAvoy. I am really trying not to be a homer, but at the draft they only cost me $81, $31, and $16, respectively and those are really good prices for for players who are currently ranked 5th, 48th, and 94th in this league's format even with 20% added on top. Especially when you consider that Marchand and McAvoy missed a lot of time due to injury.

My last choice comes down to a bunch of players for a bunch of different reasons:
Akira Schmid - $1 pick up. It depends what happens with the Devils goalies I guess
Mason McTavish - $3 pick up. One of the few bright spots on a really bad Ducks team and I think he could really break out next year with Zegras + if they get Bedard or Fantilli
Nick Suzuki - $30 drafted. He's pretty good at everything and he's relatively cheap. Montreal might also get one of the big name rookies and Suzuki + Caufield are probably only going to get better
Bowen Byram - $4 drafted. He gets hurt a lot but when he's playing he's really loving good
Rickard Rakell - $1 drafted. Not much to say really, he's perfectly adequate 20 goal/50 point guy who hits, and $1 is a good deal
Patrice Bergeron - $70 drafted. Comedy option if he doesn't retire and I want to lean into the Bruins thing. He's still a top 20 player in this format somehow.

Pastrnak is probably worth the 20% increase. He'd go for about that in the draft I think.

My team despite finishing 2nd is vet as gently caress so I dunno what my keepers are going to be. I think the only one I'm sold on right now is Morrissey. I got him for $21 so that's pretty slam pick keeper.

I can't remember if Bratt is still eligible for me but if he is he'd be a pick as well
